Industrial Hemp is a crop of enormous potential that today Uruguay must know how to use. Among its multiple uses, in the workshop we will talk about how to build using the waste of this versatile and virtuous agricultural resource.

Training on self-cultivation of cannabis. Presentation of the different ways of cultivating and the essential characteristics of the plant to achieve a fruitful crop. Tools used in the crop will be handled, for example: PHmeter, Ecmeter, Termohygrometer, among others. Identification of the main problems that may appear, whether it is a deficiency of nutrients, pests, excess or lack of humidity, etc.

Industrial hemp represents a new branch of Uruguayan economy; thanks to its multiple uses in different industries, it appears as both a profitable and a renewable resource.
Developing industrial hemp from a circular logic offers several by-products: building materials, bio-polymers, fito-chemicals, cosmetics, pharmaceutical preparations, human and animal nourishment, biomass for energy production, and more.

The organic cultivation method drives out synthetic chemicals like fertilizers and pesticides, and instead resorts to natural additives and microorganisms which decompose organic matter. The organic cultivation method is better for the plant, the consumer and the environment.
