Industrial hemp as an opportunity for family production
Ing. Agr. Carlos Rydstrom Henderson
Carlos is an Agronomist from the University of the Republic and did a Diploma in Agriculture from Lincoln University, New Zealand. Previously, he worked as an agricultural journalist in Tardáguila Agromercados (2018-2019) and as Director of Decentralization in the Ministry of Livestock, Agriculture and Fisheries of Uruguay (2020). Since September 2020 he has been General Director of Rural Development, in the Ministry of Livestock, Agriculture and Fisheries of Uruguay.
The General Directorate of Rural Development of the Ministry of Livestock, Agriculture and Fisheries intends to publicize the potential of industrial hemp to improve the profitability of family producers in a sustainable way, diversifying the productive matrix of agriculture.
